Joint Pain
Spinal Manipulation
Spinal Manipulation is the use of high velocity, low amplitude joint mobilization techniques to assist in restoring joint mobility.
When a spinal joint (facet joint) becomes stiff or hypomobile, a vicious cycle of pain, muscle spasm, and further joint compression can begin. Manipulation of the joint can often restore the normal joint range of motion and assist in breaking the pain-spasm cycle.
Following manipulation, corrective exercises are often utilized to re-educate the joint mechanics, and surrounding soft tissues.
