What can I do for you?
I’m a firm believer in the mindbody connection. My approach to treatment is to view each person holistically and provide as much individualized care as possible within each session. Using a multi-faceted treatment approach we can address the root problem(s), rather than simply managing pain. This can be done with a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue mobilization, dry needling/IMS, pilates and exercise prescription, yoga therapy, meditation techniques and/or education regarding your current pain conditions and goals.
How else can I help you?
I am committed to the advancement of women’s health issues, especially through treatment of pelvic floor conditions. My training in pelvic floor dysfunction has included courses to assess and treat urinary incontinence, complex pelvic pain, sexual pain, vulvodynia, vaginismus, endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, gastro-intestinal disorders, pre and postnatal care, preparation for labour and delivery, post-surgical, post-menopausal and post-cancer care.
I am a dedicated yogi and follower of the Iyengar yoga tradition. I am passionate about the emerging field of yoga therapy and its integration into therapeutic settings. I am certified in medical therapeutic yoga, integrative lifestyle medicine, and therapeutic yoga for pelvic health conditions. Yoga therapy can aid patients in all types of rehabilitation settings including recovery after car accidents, post-operative procedures, arthritis, and other chronic pain conditions. Yoga is an important tool for postural correction, lengthening of shortened muscles, body awareness, mediation, balance and proprioception.

I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 with my Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Since then, most of my career has been spent living on Vancouver Island exploring alternative approaches to therapy and healing. I’m a passionate life-long learner and continue to be active in the physiotherapy community of continuing education. When not working, I love hiking, yoga, exploring nature, traveling, and spending time with my daughter.
