Registered Interim Physiotherapist
What can I do for you?
As a tinkerer of the human body, a physiotherapist has two responsibilities: Help to fix the current problem and help to prevent any future damage from occurring. When assessing you, I will be looking at how your body functions together as a whole, along with your presenting complaint, to discover any and all underlying causes of the problem.
We have multiple “core” muscles throughout our body within our neck, back, stomach, legs and feet. It’s my job to help provide you the tools to have a successful rehabilitation of your current injury, and strengthen these “core” muscles throughout the body to optimize how all pieces of your body work together.
To provide you optimal treatment, I will use a combination of manual therapy techniques, modalities and most importantly exercise to help you rehabilitate your current injury, and strengthen you to prevent future injuries.
How else can I help you?
As a new grad, I am familiar with the current and emerging research coming out in the rehabilitation field. I will use that knowledge, along with my clinical reasoning skills, to formulate the best treatment plan for you!
Want to know a little bit more about me?
The Cowichan Valley has been home to me since I was 7 years old, and I believe it is the most beautiful place in the world! I am very excited to be back here full time after completing my MScPT at the University of Alberta. I’m looking forward to enjoying my favourite sports of field hockey and soccer year-round again, as well as enjoying the beautiful nature the island has to offer!
